animals treated badly in farming factories

Animals went from being able to roam around on the land they we're kept to put in cages. Just because these animals end up dying to feed us does not give us a right to treat them badly. We should at least let them have a good life before they die to feed us. They need to not be kept in cages in factories. They also do not need to be feed chemical foods to grow them faster. Things need to be done people!

Blog Entry #5: Pink Slime

Watching and reading the thing's about pink slime are horrible. This left over meat that people are not supposed to have is going to children in schools! They clean the meat with a hazard chemical that you don't want your children getting. Then put it in things that children are consuming at school. Something needs to be done about this because it's not good at all. They people that are okaying this need to be let go because they are saying okay to basically giving children poison. Pink slime is nothing anyone needs to eat. Watch what your children are eating in school because they could be given pink slime.

Why organic is better

I asked myself after watching a movie called Food Inc. Is organic better than processed foods? Well of course it is! Processed foods have been ran thru chemical products that are harmful to us. Where as organic foods have been grown and brought to a farmers market or a healthy store like Fresh and Easy. If more people ate healthier, we would have more in shape people. Let's start eating healthier and organic everyone!!

Blog Entry #4: Food Inc.

After watching this very informational movie called Food Inc. really got me thinking. Are the food industries really taking food making seriously? What are they putting on the animals we consume? How are they treating the animals we consume? The animals we are eating have been contaminated with so many different diseases and toxic chemicals. Are these things we want to feed our families? I would think not. This video really showed my classmates and I how the animals are actually treated. The poor chickens, pigs and cows have terrible living conditions. They are standing and eating in their own feces. They are not treated very well before they are killed. It really just made everyone upset about what was going on. Something that also grabbed my attention was that people who work for those companies can not talk badly. If they do they could possibly be shut down or sued. More people need to start asking the important questions. Workers and the animals need to be treated right. Do you agree??

personal entry: Bella's Birthday!

My little sister Bella's birthday is today and she's turning 1!!! I can't believe this year went by so fast. I thought it would go by slower but instead went really fast. She's grown in so many healthy ways. She learned to crawl, smile, patty cake, and even almost walk. She grows faster every minute. We're making this birthday a special one because she only turns 1 once. We have everything pink, from table covers to pink hats. She even has her own little cake. Happy Birthday Bella!

blog #3: Technology

My teacher from my English 101 class had us watch a clip from the movie WALL-E. Right now we're writing an essay on technology and how it as so much to do with what we do. After watching the clip my reaction was wow... It made me think that it could possibly be are world someday. We could all be sitting in scouter chairs riding around having technology do everything for us. Everybody uses technology everyday, either to send a text or use their laptops for something. It also has it's good though with science and medicine. Our world could still end up how that movie did. Nobody walks, has face to face interactions and they eat all day. Three points in the movie that caught me were when they were all riding around in their scouters. The second was when they were drinking food from a bottle. And the third was when Wall-e accidentally moved the screen and the lady in the chair didn't know what to think. She had been using the scouter chair most of her life that she forgot about the "real" world. Everybody needs to just take a step back and not let us become like that.

Personal Entry: Dancing is my passion

                

One of my many passions is dancing. I started when I was about 3 years old, and haven't stopped since. Dancing for me was a way to get my mind off things. It helped me relax and made me be in the moment. There are a lot of different types of dance but I only like three. Contemporary, ballet, and hip-hop. Contemporary is my all time favorite. It's a barefooted dance that really tells you a story. Ballet was my second favorite. Ballet is very graceful and makes you feel like a princess. Or at least that's how it is for me. Last but not least we have hip-hop. Now I love dancing it and hearing the music. But sometimes my body doesn't want to do a certain move. So it makes it really difficult to do it. That's why I mainly stick with contemporary and ballet. Because I love dance so much I want to minor in it and maybe have it as a career. So wish me luck!

Entry #2: Technology

My English classes discussion on technology really got me thinking. Thinking how technology has really effected the world. So many people today rely on technology for everything they do. I mean we went from having to actually use a land line to talk to someone, to caring a small device wherever we go just to end up texting someone. There's no face to face contact going on, your grammar gets horrible and it's a major distraction. Now technology doesn't just have all bad qualities. It's helped with the medical fields, you can reach someone when your out and a about, and you can access the internet to search anything.
